Happy Little Yogi
Happy Little Yogi’s Mission
Empowering children to self-regulate from a young age,
teaching them to breathe, tune in with their body and be mindful.
Happy Little Yogi believe’s that starting yoga from a young age enables children to gain the body awareness they need to develop an essential mind-body connection, while building a loving relationship with themselves.
Through playful activities, we teach children to breathe, recognise sensations in their body, practice their balance, flexibility and creativity through yoga poses, along with meditations, memory games and chants.

Happy Kids…
Happy Little Yogi was created by founder Jane Oppegaard in 2009 and for the past 15 years, Jane and her team have been facilitating weekly Happy Little Yogi classes for schools in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
I met Jane 30 years ago in our previous career and I’m delighted to have become a qualified Happy Little Yogi Teacher to bring this beautiful, fun practice to Surrey.
Yoga brings a wonderful foundation to children’s lives, as it empowers them to deal with life’s challenges resourcefully. Happy Little Yogi sessions link into children’s mental health and well-being, teaching children to breathe, regulate their emotions and learn to listen mindfully to their mind and body.
Happy Little Yogi provides each child with the physical exercise they need, improving their co-ordination and flexibility, whilst each yoga movement balances the nervous system in conjunction with a variety of breathing techniques, magical meditations, and sensory relaxations. The children learn to create peace and calm in their lives, to feel good about themselves, becoming grounded, healthy, confident and happy.
