Spring Equinox

Today is the Equinox. The Spring Equinox here in the UK (in the northern hemisphere). Equinox's bring the energy of balance, as it's the time of year where we observe equal hours of daylight and darkness.

As I was sat here feeling into the energy of this Equinox,  I heard 'Equilibrium'.

'A state in which opposing forces or influences are balanced'.

Which feels increasingly important where there are many opposing forces getting louder in the outer world right now on a macro level, but also personally and internally on a micro level.

And all the opposing forces creating the inner battle are reflected and projected in the external world.

As the world gets louder and the inner world intensifies, how do you find and maintain your equilibrium?

 Through presence and self-awareness.

By allowing yourself to FEEL and not abandoning yourself when something uncomfortable is trying to get your attention. Shutting yourself down and silencing what needs to move through you creates inner conflict and dis-ease within the body.

If you feel stressed and overwhelmed, take moments throughout your day to pause, even for 5 mins. Drop into your heart, bringpresence to your breath and take some full, deep breaths into the belly until your feel yourself coming back to a place of calm.

Feel your feet on the ground, wriggle your toes and send roots down into the earth, calling all parts of you back to the body.

You might like to observe any opposing forces and battles between the mind and heart/soul.

🧡

The Equinox is also a good time to notice where you might need more balance in your daily life.

Are there certain areas where you feel out of balance? Where more simplicity might be called for? A declutter of inner and outer worlds.

Are you allowing enough time for play and joy, amongst all the 'doing' and responsibilities?

Do you spend too much time looking after other people's needs and forgetting your own?

How balanced do you feel within yourself?

🧡

After a busy few days, I took myself off to Polesden Lacey for a few hours yesterday afternoon. I knew I needed to pause and recharge. To my delight, they'd put the deck chairs out! So, I took my shoes and socks off and sat barefoot with my body and face to the sun. I took some long, deep breaths feeling myself come back to balance.

Just what I needed!

The Spring Equinox brings signs of hope and rebirth.

A time of fertility, creativity, and renewal.

We see very visible signs of nature waking up and sprouting new life. And yesterday with that beautiful blue sky, it felt like the grey, wet winter was long gone and spring was finally here!

This also starts the Astrological New Year with the sun moving into Aries, further signalling the energy of rebirth and new beginnings.

Today is a potent day for planting new seeds. What would you like to create for yourself`?

We've also just had the New Moon in Pisces, although that might have been an emotional one for you where you didn't feel like planting seeds!

Over the next few days, you might like to light a candle and sit with a journal to write down everything you'd like to attract and create for yourself (and the world that you live in).

How would you like to feel?

 Allow yourself to dream.

"To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow."

Audrey Hepburn

Have you told yourself today?

“I Love You, Me”
