Reset and Rebirth

How are you feeling?

It's still pretty intense isn't it!

Last week, I shared a reminder on my social media of ways in which we can help to support ourselves and our nervous system.

A couple of weeks ago a young lad smashed into the side of my car whilst I was driving to go for a nice walk in the woods.

To say it put me into a tailspin would be an understatement! Even more so when I heard my car was being written off!

So, I've really needed to dig deep and pull on all of my tools (and soul family) for support.

I know I keep saying, we're being squeezed and it's intensifying more and more for us to acknowledge and let go, but I didn't realise just how much I was still holding onto!

Feeling safe, or should I say, not feeling safe in our body and in this life is a big wound many, if not all of us carry.

And part of our healing journey is about acknowledging all of those parts of us that don't feel safe and calling them back home….to the body.

Self-awareness is so important for our continued journey of personal growth.

The accident really brought up old trauma (that I thought I'd healed ;-) ) from this life and past lives where I didn't feel safe.

But also from those feelings of despair and despondency, came a deeper inner strength and clarity.

Clarity around my reaction to the situation and what had ‘happened to me’, a pattern long repeating itself. A pattern that was ready to go!

Also acknowledging where I'm still hiding! Where I'm not being consistent and accountable.

Where I've let myself drift a little out to sea.

So despite the mental chatter we can get embroiled in as to the why's and wherefore's of those curve balls that can feel relentless at times, there is always greater awareness and growth to come from it.

Should we choose to see it…

This experience has definitely gifted me a reset. To stop the drifting and set me back on course in true alignment.

Now, I would have preferred that nudge to be a little less dramatic, but hey, sometimes we just don't listen! ;-)

And we don't realise the sneaky, unconscious ways that we can still be holding ourselves back in self-sabotage from taking that next leap.
